EIFS stands for Exterior Insulation and Finish System. It’s a synthetic, multi-layer system built over foam insulation. It’s lighter than hardcoat stucco and adds real insulation value, which can help with energy bills.
Insulation: EIFS wins. The foam layer adds an energy barrier that hardcoat stucco doesn’t have.
Impact strength: Hardcoat wins. The cement shell stands up better to knocks and dents.
